4. Lists

Lists are useful for keeping track of songs for review or license requests. They are saved with your account for easy access and are immediately available to Heavy Hitters staff for assistance and delivery.

Creating Lists

You can create a list from the Search Results page by checking the Select box for the titles you want to add to the list. You can also use Select All to select or deselect all the titles displayed on the current page.

To create a list:

  1. Check one or more titles on the Search Results page.
  2. Click the Create List button at the top of the Search Results page.
  3. Enter a list name and, if necessary, notes.
  4. Click the Save button.

The list name and notes can always be changed and saved. You can now access this list from the My Heavy Hitters page.

TIP: If you know you will want to create a list before you start searching:

  1. From the Title Search page, click the Search button before entering any criteria. This will return all the titles in the database.
  2. Check the Select box of any title (You can remove it later.) and create a list using the procedure above.
  3. Begin your title search from the List page by clicking Add New Title.

This way, you can always return to your search criteria — by using the Back button on your browser — after you add titles to your list and then want to make slight changes to your criteria without having to re-enter everything on a blank Title Search page.

Adding Titles To a List

To add titles to an existing list, navigate to the desired List page from the My Heavy Hitters page and click the Add New Title button. This will take you to the Title Search page where you can search for titles to add to the list.

NOTE: When you click Add New Title from the List page, the resulting Title Search page has a grey bar at the top with the message: Adding Titles to List: list name. To add titles to an existing list, you must start the search from this page with the Adding Titles to List message. Starting from a regular Title Search page will only allow you to create new lists, not add to existing ones.

Removing Titles From a List

To remove titles from an existing list, navigate to the desired List page from the My Heavy Hitters page. Click the Remove button next to any titles you wish to remove from the list.
